Come to the Table Ministries plans ‘Family’ reunion
Come to the Table Ministries “Family Reunion” is set for Saturday in Ruddick Park. With family being an important part of what makes communities grow, the reunion is inviting local families to come to the park and enjoy the free meal and swimming the ministry is providing.
On June 19, Grillin’ and Chillin’ Family Reunion will be held in Ruddick Park. The event will help unite the county’s residents as well as serve as a way promote and affect changes. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Colorado City’s historic park.
The pool will be open for free swimming, along with a bounce house and water slide for children to play on. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be cooked by Justin and Reid Harris while Jeremy Strain and Crew will be providing music. Citizens will get an opportunity to register their children for Colorado ISD’s Head Start program for the 2021-22 school year.
A special guest from Dallas, Pekuliar People, will be on hand for the event. Pekuliar People is an Urban Gospel movement dedicated to bringing Light where there is none, to standing in the gaps and most importantly, spreading the truth and love of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Yard games such as cornhole will be available to provide fun for everyone. You can also purchase tickets in a drawing for a cornhole set crafted by Jeff Hickson or a $50 gift certificate to Sportsman’s Restaurant.
“Together, we can do more than we can do alone,” organizers said. “Let’s bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change. This event can bring everyone in the community together.”
