“Let the Good Times Boil” set for Saturday

Workers with the Mitchell County Hospital Charitable Foundation are busy readying the Copper Press, 401 Oak Street, for “Let the Good Time Boil”, a fundraiser to be held June 26. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
This year’s fundraising efforts will be going toward the interior furnishings for the new Mitchell County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The current building was built in 1976, making it “old” by industry standards. The floor plan hinders efficiency and the technology is lacking. It is our goal to make MCNRC less “institutionalized” and more “home-like” for your loved ones.
MCNRC provides quality long-term nursing and rehabilitative care in Mitchell County. At MCNRC, physician and staff nurture the whole person - physically, socially, and emotionally - through planned activities and recreation.
MCNRC is committed to improving the current ability of each resident in performing activities of daily living, to assist in the highest achievement of these activities and to maintain the rights and dignity of each individual resident in a compassionate, caring manner,” MCHD officials said.
This year’s event is sure to be a boiling good time with a crab and shrimp hors d’oeuvres buffet, open bar (beer and wine), casino games, silent auction, and live music by Fox Fire Trio.
MCHD officials expressed a special thank you to Cherry and Robert Hoback, who helped make the event possible, with the donation of the building for the evening. The cost for the event is $50 per ticket, or a reserved table of eight is $400. Tickets can be purchased at the hospital in the administration or marketing office or by mail.
