Axis Deer Hunt Up For Grabs At Hunter Appreciation Dinner, Nov. 5

The weather has finally cooled down, hunters are filling up their deer feeders and plans are being made for the 31st Annual Hunters Appreciation Dinner on Friday, November 5, at the Railhead Building, in downtown Colorado City.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the tickets are $10.00 per person. The $10.00 dollar ticket gets you in the door, you receive a free gun ticket, and the best part is you get chicken and beef fajitas for supper, and you don’t have to do the cooking. The meal will be catered by Gas-N-Grub.

If you have looked for guns this year, you know how hard they are to find. Excellent quality guns have been ordered for the event and will be drawn for that evening.

The big-ticket item for the Hunter’s Appreciation dinner this year is an Axis Hunt from the 345 Ranch. The win includes an axis hunt with a 2 day/1 night stay at on the 345 Ranch. Tickets will be $10.00 each or six for $50.00. Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office, 157 West 2nd St. All tickets can be purchased the evening of the dinner and you do not have to be present to win.

Tons of door and raffle prices will guarantee a night of fun. Lowes is donating a deer blind to be given away at the event for example.
