Last chance for Chamber nominations

The Colorado City Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2021 Colorado City Citizen of the Year, Agriculture Award, and the Westbrook, Colorado City and Loraine Outstanding Educator Awards. The awards will be presented at the 113th Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet. The Italian themed banquet will be at Kelley Café on Friday, March 4th.

The criteria for the Citizen of the Year:
• the individual must be at least eighteen years of age,
• lived in Mitchell County for the entire twelve month period,
• helped in the community the previous twelve months, and
• the work cannot be part of the job description of the individual

The criteria for the Agriculture Award:
• must be a family or business that is actively involved in farming and/or ranching,
• be involved in their community, and
• forward thinking in their operations
The criteria for the Outstanding Educator:

• Must teach at Colorado ISD, Loraine ISD, or Westbrook ISD

• Must have taught at least a full school year at that school

• Can be nominated by peers, parents or students.

Entry forms can be picked up at the chamber office (a folder will be taped to the front door) or they can be printed from the website www.coloradocitychamberofcommerce.com and MUST be returned to the chamber drop box outside the chamber (the white metal box behind the brick pillar facing the chamber office) at 157 West 2nd Street on or before 4pm on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
